'"On polling day to suddenly wake up with every bridge and every lamppost covered in posters and fliers does influence people significantly and it is improper."'
Maybe Alison Seabeck would like to comment on David Jamieson's 1997 campaign and the ENORMOUS banner that appeared by the railway station and all the fly posting around Stoke Village and around Burraton Way in 2001?
I don't like this pot/kettle stuff. To miss an imprint is unforgivable but she can't moan about this when her own party has systematically engaged in the tactic locally. What about Labour's bombardment of university halls and the area around the Fresher and Professor (OK, that's in Sutton and Devonport) on election eve in 2005? This is just a moan.
