"I was furious when out and out racist Robert Blay was allowed (having been banned by UKIP) not only to stand on the platform at the announcement but also have a speech. I am still quite frankly appalled at how many people still voted for UKIP and how stupid those are who still seek to defend Robert Blay.
The Green Surge attracted over a million votes. Yes I know some of their policies are plainly bonkers – re nationalising the railways and opposing HS2 are two that I personally don’t agree with.. And there were a few weird announcements from Natalie about group marriage for example, that sent my phone into spasms of calls from “concerned Christian or Church Crookham..” But on the whole I was proud to stand for the Green Party. I think that the general agreement was that politics in this country is better because of them. The tide is definitely turning our way with the Tory time bomb ticking and young people looking outside the tradition big beasts for answers. Let us hope that UKIP and their dodgy candidates have also reached a peak.."
