Dennison's conduct during this campaign has been deplorable. I am pleased that we have held him off. I did do one canvass in this ward when Sadiq Khan came over a few weeks ago. I know Labour were out to stop him and that there is no love lost between Labour and him. I don’t know the details of the campaign but he came to winning when only a minority of the electors in this ward would have previously been represented by him in the pre-2022 Syon ward. Who are his supporters? Can anyone explain, please, why Theo Dennison ended up in such a battle? Why did he leave Labour? I remember Theo from when he was Pendle's Labour agent...and a good one...and subsequently Labour councillor for Bradley ward. In fact we went to the same church and Sunday school

The two Croydon by-elections were declared at about 6pm and 7pm on Friday. I haven’t got to them yet on this forum because I got home to find a billion threads with a trillion pages to work through before I’m up to date. Edit: q.v. the London by-elections thread

Are these by elections included in the BBC local election figure or are they additional, asking for a friend.

Are these by elections included in the BBC local election figure or are they additional, asking for a friend. They are almost certainly not included in the BBC figures (based on what they've done with past year's results.)
