Looking at the UKIP swing at last summer's local elections, and applying that to Bromley, the only wards truly vulnerable are the existing Tory marginals - Clockhouse and the Crays.
These are difficult to call at the best of times, with CH being unpredictable thanks to Reg Adams personal vote; any appearance by Greens or UKIP can only stir things up even more.
Cray Valley West: UKIP can make inroads, but on the other hand old Colin Willetts (former Labour loose cannon) is gearing up for another pop as an independent. Could that blunt UKIP's as well as Labour's vote?
Cray Valley West: Interesting what Cray Resident said about McBride and Fortune, it sounds about right. Last I heard Martin Curry was having another go for the LibDems (having said after 2010 that he was heading to Swanley). There was a rumour that Grace Goodlad (Mrs Duncan Borrowman) was also standing and that they were having trouble finding anyone else willing to work with Curry. Could all be b.s. of course!
Swanley was an option when the BNP held one seat for a short while where I worked, but their councillor resigned before their time was up.
Happily I'm still knocking on doors in Cray Valley East, along with Sam, Grace, David and others.
