Who exactly are 'Taking the Initiative ", I presume some localist group formed in the aftermath of Croydon's bankruptcy, but could johnloony or anyone else be more specific? Nothing to do with the bankruptcy. Mostly black, vaguely pro-business policies. I think a lot of them are based in some of the black evangelical churches.

Well, either way, my assumption was clearly wrong! They're the group linked to Sasha Johnson, who was shot in the head a few years ago. She is one of those people who seemed to very loudly declare themselves to be linked to the BLM concept, but probably was not really. Although you might use Google Images and draw your own conclusions based on photos of blokes in bowties hanging around.

TtIP may have been born out of BLM in some shape or form, but in Croydon they are closely associated with evangelical groups, such as those The Conservatives (or at least Mario Creatura) were trying there best to associate with from around 2017-2019. At the count in 2022, i recall how smart TtIP activists were dressed, it all felt very wealth gospel.

Who were making a bit of noise a few years ago weren't they?

I do wish the Lib Dems didn't do this. I'm not one, but I'm not reflexively hostile either, but you can't claim to be the clean politics people when you try to mislead the voters about basic stuff as part of standard operating procedure. The 'Labour can't win here' tag actually crosses the line into a lie unless you engage in some tortuous reasoning that the context somehow isn't the election in Croydon & Sutton Assembly constituency. It would be like Labour putting out a leaflet in South West with a bar chart of Hounslow and saying the Lib Dems were out of the race because of that.

You're talking about the party of "Be wicked, act shamelessly, stir endlessly". What do you expect?

Is it even legal for her to put her Sutton councillor email address as the email to contact her campaign?

Labour I'm afraid to say hasn't used a misleading bar chart in South West, but has described the election as a two-horse race. They MEAN the Mayoral election, but that isn't made clear.

If she wants to "Fix the Met police recruiting more police" does that mean she actually wants less police?

Is this Labour’s best performance in the division? They polled 29.4%, they were 31-32% in 2012, 2016 and 2021. However, in terms of deficits, yes. 5.6% away from the win, against 6.4% in 2016.

The best outcome of the GLA election this time is that the count supervisor at the table I was scrutinising / tallying on Saturday was a very handsome hunk with a gorgeous muscular body, and very friendly. Since I got back from the count I have already voted for him three times, and he will be entering the WAAAAGH League Table at the end of the month.
