Jo Bates was the Green candidate here last May. There have been quite a few different independents here over the years. To explain – Anthony Delaney won in 2008 and didn’t defend his seat in 2012. Michael Wilson was the runner up in 2011 and 2010 and Claire Bibby in 2012. Then Derek Kenyon won in 2014 and lost his seat in 2018, coming second. In between, Keith Sharman came runner up in 2015 and 2016. Then Ian Shead won in 2019. The 2021 indy and the one in this by-election were both completely new candidates.
