Maybe if Pete clarified who the 'True British' are in his eyes once and for all, we won't have such posts written in response? It's not the first time he has made such comments and frankly I am getting tired of it. I put the term in inverted commas precisely because it was a problematic phrase and i didn't seek to get into defining what it means - it obviously will mean different things to different people. But it is surely an uncontentious fact that there are a large number of foreign nationals who are entitled to vote in our elections be they citizens of the Irish Republic (who may not share the sensibilities of many British people regarding the Labour party's support for IRA violence against British troops and civilians, though many of them would find it equally abhorrent) or citizens of Commonwealth countries such as a very large number from countries like India, Pakistan and Nigeria. There are additionally those who are technically UK citizens but who clearly owe allegiance to their countries of origin and have little real engagement with their adopted country. And even some who are born here to foreign born parents who identify more with the country their parents came from than this one. The individual who carried out the suicide attack in Manchester for example was born in this country but he was a Libyan more than he was a Brit. I'm sure the meaning was clear to most people anyway and I shouldn't be any under any obligation to clarify my posts in order to avoid having benji wish death upon me. It goes without saying that i couldn't give a flying fuck what that illiterate halfwit thinks. I'm not very concerned if you are tired of my posts either. You aren't under any obligation to read them. I never pay much attention to your posts as they mostly seem to consist of partisan hackery and metropolitan hand-wringing and nothing of psephological interest.

Death threats from a Labourite? "Kinder, gentler politics". To be fair, a young fella in his early political days. We've all been there... I still shudder at the memories....

You're from Hertfordshire, that's still pretty metropolitan to most people.

to avoid having benji wish death upon me. I did no such thing, but am not going to argue with you. People can make up their own minds, on that matter and whether you are a racist. My conscious is clear. They can't because you deleted your post, which is an odd thing for someone with a clear conscience to do

As my Gran Barry used to say: "Eee, we need to be nicer to each other, or I'll give you such a crack!" That's familiar.

Bear in mind, young @benjl, that I can see the original unedited post in the security logs. good, so you can confirm I never wished death upon anyone. good grief. If you had been reported, you would be probably taking a temporary bath. You were way out of line and directly about a member of this forum which is not allowed.

Seems like more aggression and hostility to those who oppose the cult of Momentum.

Seems like more aggression and hostility to those who oppose the cult of Momentum racists. Don't do that without making it clear what you have done. A simple FTFY will do.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the last poll prior to the election from any company part of the British Polling Council.

There does seem to be a wee bit of convergence around a 7-8 point Tory lead with one or two going significantly lower and two or three going much higher.
