Pffft. It just seems so futile. Politicians winning for their own ends rather than voters fir theirs . This shameful and.unjustifiable event is another establishment stitch up against the needs of ordinary people and the value of their vote....

Cost was £4.7 million. Thats just the cost to the taxpayer. What about all the costs incurred by individuals in time and money, travelling to hearings (the cost to me personally was probably about £15 for each of the hearings I attended) plus all the stress and frustration caused by trying to draw up seats within the 5% threshold

Clegg 8-10 Great George Street London SW1P 3AE

I spent a lot of time doing notional calculations for the new seats about a year ago although it was quite an interesting experience so I'm not complaining about it.

Hour after hour drawing up proposals for nothing. There are several equally geeky and equally useless things I could have done in that time

Somehow I knew the review would never happen as soon as I heard about things like Mersey Banks and the placing of Erdington in Sutton Coldfield. It was just too far-fetched.

Their website almost looks upset.
If you read it while playing a sad tune it seems more appropriate.

But would the BCE not have had to start a new periodic review in this Parliament under the old law? Would spending money on another elongated review to produce unequally sized constituencies based on electorates that were years out of date have been any better?
