Bromley and Oldham are the only ones that look pretty certain, though surprisingly there is a third one where we are all in agreement, a Lib Dem win in Oxon, but I have to say I had my fingers crossed as I went for that one- its not that unusual to get a 100% wrong winner in places like that. I've also gone for Lib Dem wins in Bucks and Warks which may be a triumph of hope over experience- if I'm going to lose my lead for the month I might as well go down in style Bromley is historically very safe but that seems quite a good Labour result in May Labour's best result in the constituency came in a December 1919 by-election.
The Liberals declined to stand and the Labour candidate Cllr F.P. Hodes cut the Tory majority from 12,000 to just over 1,000. Hodes had been a councillor in Penge for some time and was clearly a very well known local figure. He had originally been elected as a Conservative - or at least an independent but with Conservative backing, but had joined Labour at the beginning of the year. He had served on the local military tribunal during the war and lost his son, killed on the Western Front in August 1916.

Well, with the percentages just for Northampton to come, I don't think it's too early to congratulate Yellow Peril on victory for November. Much deserved.

Thank you but I think I'll hold off celebrating until I see some official results as some of these are very close - Stratford may have just saved me but my rough calculation before that gave the closest possible margin at 0.1 points after 20 elections

I think Olympian actually took gold in Bromley, rather than Right Leaning. Something I failed to achieve anywhere.

Wow -first for week and month- I can honestly say I hadn't been expecting that!Very pleased though to win on as big a month as this one- my only previous month's win was I think June 2017 which was a bit of a fluke as it was quite a light month, I seem to remember. Edit- yes looking back the previous one was only 9 elections, compared with 22 this time. And yes of course heartfelt thanks to middleenglander for a stirling effort in such a big month.

Congratulations yellowperil and the only person to call all 7 victors this week so a worthy winner. I was convinced that Robert Waller would glide through as usual but he's finally found his match. Thanks middleenglander
